The transmitter and receiver of the Metravi CFL-01 Digital Cable and Cable Fault Locator are portable measuring devices that can be used to locate short faults in conductors.The signal generated by the transmitter is formed of a modulated current, which forms an electromagnetic field around the conductor. The receiving coil then experiences a voltage induced by this electromagnetic field.The receiver amplifies, decodes, and transforms the induced voltage back into the original signal before displaying the results on the screen. During the application, the transmitter’s connecting parameter needs to be on a closed current circuit.
