Subterranean power and control cables are increasingly being used in contemporary electrical distribution systems. These cables may occasionally acquire faults owing to mechanical damage, water seepage, overloading, defects in the cable insulations, etc. These problems, which are typically challenging to identify, can be localised using our Digital Cable Fault Localiser.
It can identify flaws that fall into the following general categories:
1. Faults in the open circuit;
2. Faults in the short circuit.
3. Faults with medium or high resistance.
